FMD: Changed WLAN configuration settings

For security reasons, the WLAN configuration settings on the devices managed by the RRZ (FMD) were changed on 17.07.2025.

If a device does not connect / has not connected to the UHH network (on campus or in the home office via VPN) after this date by 04.08.2025 in order to automatically receive the configuration change, this can lead to problems when trying to connect to the WLAN "UHH-SC" on the university campus.

In this case, however, a connection to the WLAN "Eduroam" should be established automatically. It may be necessary to use your personal user ID with the ending "@uni-hamburg.de" (example: bxy1234@uni-hamburg.de) and the password of your user ID as the login name. You can also select the WLAN "Eduroam" yourself if the connection is not automatic. (see also: eduroam : RRZ : Universität Hamburg).

Once the configuration has been changed, the WLAN "UHH-SC" will be automatically selected again for subsequent use.

If your device is connected to the university network between 17.7. and 4.8.2025 anyway, no further action is required.
