VPN Access to the UHH Network

If you are on the UHH campus, it is generally not necessary to establish a VPN connection to the UHH network. As a rule, UHH IT services on campus are also accessible via the Eduroam network. For more information, please see here.

If you are on the UHH campus but still wish to access the UHH network via VPN, this is possible via the University of Hamburg’s Wi-Fi access points (SSID UHH).

• You can find an overview of Wi-Fi access points in the Wi-Fi location list (link). The coverage area is not limited to the rooms listed in the table but depends, among other things, on local conditions.
• The SSID “UHH” is available for a VPN connection via the University of Hamburg’s Wi-Fi.

Outside the campus, you will need internet access, e.g., via your private internet connection.
