Instructions for Apple iOS

Starting Point / Basic Information

• Please note that the actual appearance of the app in the screenshots may vary depending on the software version or device type
• The latest updates are installed on your device, and you are using the most recent version of the software

Step 1

Install the software from the App Store

Step 2

Decide whether you want to allow notifications

Step 3

Launch the app and, if necessary, open the side menu

Step 4

Add a new connection by following these steps. Click on each option as indicated

Step 5

Enter a description and the RRZ VPN gateway, then click “Save”

Step 6

Allow the configuration change

Step 7

Activate the connection in the side menu using the slider

Step 8

Allow access to the website

Step 9a

A webpage will open where you must log in with your user ID (b.....) and the corresponding password. If necessary, you may need to scroll down and click “Continue”

Step 9b

If your user ID is already subject to 2FA, you must additionally authenticate with a second factor. If not, this step does not apply to you. You can find all information about 2FA here

Done / Completion

The VPN connection has been successfully established

Disconnecting

To disconnect, use the slider from Step 7 as appropriate
