University of Hamburg launches "UHHGPT"
12 April 2024, by RRZ-ServiceLine
All members of Universität Hamburg have had access to ChatGPT via the UHH since April 9, 2024. A special tool ensures that the chatbot, which is based on artificial intelligence, can be used anonymously and in compliance with data protection regulations.
Access to "UHHGPT" is via a web tool that was originally developed at Hildesheim University and adapted for the University of Hamburg. It is operated by the Center for Sustainable Research Data Management and the Regional Computing Center, which is responsible for the IT infrastructure at UHH.
Every member of the university can use the application without personal data being transferred to ChatGPT or stored. The information entered is also not used for the further development of the chatbot.
To be able to use UHH-GPT as a member of the UHH, please first book access via the RRZ-ServicePortal:
(Important: The application is reachable from the university network (if necessary via VPN) and you must log in with your user ID.)
You can access "UHHGPT" at: "https://uhhgpt.uni-hamburg.de/login_e.php". There you will also find further information and important notes on using the service.
If you have any questions, please contact the RRZ-ServiceLine.
