A security update for Exchange (CVE-2026-42897) released on 18 May 2026 has caused an issue with calendar publishing in OWA. HTML and ICS links are no longer being generated. Existing links now return an error code: 500 Internal Server Error. Microsoft is aware of this issue but has not yet released an update.
