Effective immediately, Windows laptops and desktops will be delivered with Office 2024 preinstalled. 

All devices supported by the RRZ with Office 2021 will be upgraded to Office 2024 by mid-October 2026, as support for Office 2021 will expire at that time. Users will be informed in advance of the upcoming upgrade by email. The update to Office 2024 will be carried out via the familiar software distribution system and can also be postponed via this system. 

If needed, you can order Office 2024 for your Windows laptop or desktop in advance via the RRZ ServicePortal.

Important: Devices with Visio or Project installed are not currently being updated.
