Dear colleagues,
We have been informed by DFN-PKI that Harica server certificates (referred to as SSL certificates in the Harica Portal) issued between 15 June 2026 and 15 July 2026 must be renewed for compliance reasons.
The certificates issued during this period will be automatically revoked by Harica at around 10.00 am next Monday.
User certificates for S/MIME (email signatures and encryption) are not affected by this! These certificates do not need to be renewed early!
What should be done?
- Please log in to the Harica CertManager portal at https://cm.harica.gr to check whether you have any SSL certificates with a ‘Valid from’ date falling between 15 June 2026 and 15 July 2026.
- If so, please submit an application for certificate renewal straight away.
- Please let us know that you would like the certificate to be activated using the RRZ-ServiceLine form at
https://www.rrz.uni-hamburg.de/services/sicherheit/pki/teilnehmerservicestellen/freischaltenserver.html.
- Once you have received the certificate, please replace the existing one on the relevant server, if possible, before 10.00 on Monday 20 July 2026. Please bear in mind that the server process may need to be restarted for the new certificate to take effect.
