Email forwarding
In principle, Universität Hamburg staff are not permitted to use automated forwarding of work emails.
Automated forwarding refers to all forwarding subject to a universal forwarding rule (e.g., a relevant forwarding command).
This primarily refers to automated forwarding to email addresses outside of Universität Hamburg’s data protection remit and responsibility, in general, and that of the RRZ in particular.

This requirement applies primarily only to Universität Hamburg staff. Universität Hamburg students are not affected.
In principle, this rule applies to all email addresses not ending in “@uni-hamburg.de” or whenever the RRZ at Universität Hamburg is not the provider of the email inbox specified in the automated forwarding rule.
