Security/Data Protection Instruction
Data transfer to and from the repositories on the Subversion server is encrypted via https.
When accessing the local repository copy, you must authenticate yourself with your ID (UniHH ID or project ID) and password, at least the first time. The authentication and revision data may be stored on the client side (under Linux in the directories ~/.subversion and .svn in the respective target directories).
For security reasons, we strongly recommend that you disable local password storage. To do this, set the option store-passwords = no in the [auth] section of the config file in the ~/.subversion directory.
Data protection:
Please note that you must operate your repository in accordance with the GDPR.
If you process personal or personally identifiable data in your database, you will find specific information on what you need to bear in mind and who to contact if you have any questions on this topic on the website of the Competence Center for Information Security and Data Processing at the University of Hamburg.
