2FA code list
The 2FA code list is a list of numerical codes required for authentication as part of 2-factor authentication. Each member of the University of Hamburg receives a personal list.
The list must not be passed on to other persons under any circumstances.
You must use this list to log into a few central IT services (e.g., Fiona, M42, OpenOLAT, etc.) as long as you have not yet registered an end device for 2-factor authentication. We ask that you register at least one end device (e.g., laptop, smartphone, etc.) as soon as possible. The more devices you register, the more flexible you will be later.
The initial code list, which you received at the beginning, may be deactivated after you have registered a device. You can register further devices at any later date. However, to do so, you must log in with a device which is already registered.
What do I do if I haven't received a 2FA code list or have lost mine?
If you have not received a 2FA code list, please visit an RRZ-ServiceDesk (bring a valid photo ID).
In case you have lost your 2FA code list and you cannot issue yourself a new list because you have not yet registered a terminal device for two-factor authentication, please also visit an RRZ-ServiceDesk (bring valid photo ID).
If you are not able to visit an RRZ-ServiceDesk, please contact the RRZ-ServiceLine.
