zoom works best with the dedicated desktop app. However, you can also use Zoom with the mobile apps or directly in your web browser without installing anything. The instructions provided here only apply to the zoom desktop app. For help with using zoom in your browser or in the mobile app, please refer to the manufacturer’s support.

On fully managed devices of the university you can simply get the app from the RRZ-ServicePortal. On other devices, visit the manufacturer's website and follow the download link for your operating system. Once the download is finished, start the installation program and follow its instructions until the installation is done.

1. If you haven't already, install the zoom desktop app and open it.
2. Click on "Log in".
3. Choose the Option "SSO".
4. Enter uni-hamburg as the "Company Domain".
5. A new tab or window with the standard log in form of the University of Hamburg will open in your web browser. Proceed by entering your B-ID and the corresponding password as well as completing the two factor authentication.
6. If this is your first time using zoom at the University of Hamburg, you might need to agree to the use of some of your personal data by zoom.
