Requesting credentials for Wi-Fi access via the GUEST SSID
Employees of the University of Hamburg can request time-limited credentials for Wi-Fi internet access via the SSID (network name) “GUEST” for guests of the University of Hamburg.
Wi-Fi locations at the University of Hamburg
The regularly updated location list shows the areas where the University of Hamburg’s Wi-Fi is available. The list includes entries for rooms equipped with access points (APs). The coverage area is not limited to the room specified in the table but depends on local conditions. The outdoor areas of the University of Hamburg are only covered to a very limited extent via access points installed inside the building.
Please check well in advance of an event whether the designated event area is within the UHH Wi-Fi coverage area. If you require additional Wi-Fi coverage for your event, please submit a request—separate from the application for GUEST credentials—to the RRZ Service Line well in advance. Only then can the RRZ provide a qualified assessment of whether, and if so, within what timeframe the desired additional Wi-Fi coverage can be implemented.
